For Workers – Arrival 16.00 pm Sunday 7th August 2016 after morning service

Ceremony –Held at 18.00 pm Friday 12th August 2016

We are requiring the workers to come on the Sunday afternoon so we can go through registration/training/vision for the Camp, as well as to help set up Camp. Please liaise yourself with your Pastor about being absent for the Sunday evening service (We understand that there are exceptions to this i.e. Pastors themselves cannot be absent for Sunday night service – Please direct queries to the Camp Co-ordinator). We are also asking for the workers to stay behind on the Friday evening, to help pack up after the ceremony, which would be most appreciated.

Information Boot Camp 2016 involves very strenuous activities. THIS IS NOT FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ILLNESS THAT CAN CAUSE HARM BY ATTENDING THE CAMP. Because of the nature of this ministry we expect you to be honest with us. If you feel your physical condition can be affected by the activities of Boot Camp 2016, due to heart problems or other serious conditions, we would ask that you decline from attending. By completing the registration form, you are indicating to us that you will take full responsibility for your own decision to enter the Camp.

Payment Schedule The total cost of Camp is £125. A non-returnable and non-transferable deposit of £65, on registration. After registration, there will be a direct debit monthly payment of £20, for the following 3 months. Cheques and cash are acceptable, with cheques made payable to “Next Generation Ministries”, and cash handed in to your Boot Camp Rep – Note – your application will not be finalised until the payment has been cleared. You may also choose to pay the amount in full if you wish, upon registration.

Reserves ListIn the event of all places being filled (for recruits and workers) we will run a reserves list and will inform you if a place comes up. Priority will be given to those who have submitted their forms with full payment.

Medication/HealthA separate medical information form must be completed if you are bringing medication or have any health issues. All medication forms must be handed in to medical personnel at Camp. Recruits need to bring their medication in a clearly labelled plastic box. Recruits will be allowed to carry their medication around with them throughout the day. The Counsellors in the platoons will be responsible for prompting recruits to take their medication.

TransportRecruits and Workers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Camp. Please liaise with your Boot Camp Rep regarding travel to the site and directions. Directions to Boot Camp 2016 can be found on the

RecruitsPriority will be given to recruits aged 13–18 years old. Recruits who will be 13 years old by 31 December 2016 may be allowed to attend at the discretion of the Camp Co-ordinator.

WorkersAnyone over 18 years old at the date of Camp will need to attend as a worker. We have a guideline requirement for workers, in which they must attend a fellowship church regularly (not occasional attendance) and need to be saved at least 6 months (1 year for Counsellors) by Camp – Please see your Boot Camp Rep/Pastor for more information. However, if workers are unable to adhere to the Camp etiquette i.e. behaviour and attitudes towards Camp and its people (be it recruits or workers), will be asked to re-enlist as a recruit.

We aim to let the workers know if they have been designated as a Training Instructor or Drill Instructor before Camp begins. Everyone else should have an idea of what their role will be when they arrive, however, this is dependent on the amount of workers and how they are designated. Therefore, roles might change. Platoon listings are wholly dependent on forms and monies coming in on time.

Kit

Workers will be able to bring single airbeds or Camp beds. Mobile phones are brought to Camp at the owner’s own risk and Next Generation Ministries will not be held responsible for any damage or losses to phones or chargers.

No worker is to use their mobile phone in front of recruits or lend their phone to or make phone calls on behalf of the recruits. Workers found breaching Boot Camp 2016’s policy will be dismissed from Camp. However, workers whilst off duty/on break, and out of sight of recruits, may use their devices. But do remember, this is a week out of the ordinary, with God working extraordinary thing, in our young people, as well as our workers. Please refrain yourself from keeping your personal life up to date, and only use your device when necessary i.e. emergency contact for medical assistance.

Pastors will be exempt from the above but need to observe Camp etiquette.

Women workers may allow minimal make-up during the week while Camp is running. Again, please respect the Camp etiquette.
