BOLCCIS Worship Team Membership Process

Following are guidelines for becoming a worship team member: (This process will take about 3 months)

STEP 1

Consistently attend one of the cell groups for at least 2 months, and lead worship at least two times in the cell group.

STEP 2

Be recommended by your cell group leader to the Director of Worship Center (Kwok Cheung).

STEP 3

Get a “Membership Application Form” from the Administrator of Worship Center. (Phyllis Hsu). Fill out the form and then submit back to Worship Center.

STEP 4

Worship Center Co-workers will evaluate your membership application form. We will conduct two formal interviews to find out your strengths and role in worship team. You will first have a meeting with the Pastor and/or the Director of Worship Ministry (Stephen Hsu/Kwok Cheung), and then a meeting with the Vocal/Instrumental Leads (Kwok Cheung [Acting]). For this meeting there will be three audition songs: 2 self-chosen, and 1 appointed. If you are an instrumental player please don’t forget to bring your instrument for this interview.

STEP 5

Once the staff has approved your Membership Application, you will be notified by the Worship Center about your membership status. The Worship Center will ask you to come to our regular rehearsal and will introduce you as a new member during the following rehearsal. After an internship of 1-month (4 times) of rehearsals, you will be ready to serve during Sunday service.

Needless to say, being a member means constantly growing in your faith, having a spirit of leaning and cooperation, submitting to the Church rules, and living your life pleasing to God. Basically, each worship team member should commit themselves to the following:

1)  Consistently attend Sunday Service and Cell Group meeting.

2)  Commit to serve in worship team for a minimum of 1 year.

3)  Daily Devotion- keeps spiritual life growing everyday.

4)  Always ask for help immediately and have good communication with other members.
