The Contractor shall have personnel with direct knowledge complete this checklist to verify that preventive maintenance has been performed during each scheduled visit. These checklists do not replace any manufacturer-recommended procedures or any procedures required by the PSFA computerized maintenance management system.

Cooling Pre-seasonInspection

Review equipment logs, operational problems and work performed by District personnel
Review PSFA Preventive Maintenance Task List
Flush and clean condensate pans and drains
Inspect all wiring for deterioration
Tighten electrical connections
Clean air intake and screens
Check dampers and seals for dirt accumulations
Check damper motors and linkage for proper operation
Lubricate mechanical connections of dampers sparingly
Replace filters
Check belts for wear; adjust tension or alignment and replace when necessary
Clean fan and motor
Lubricate fan and motor if required
Check all motors, belts, pulleys, shafts, etc. for alignment
Check fan for vibration or excessive noise.
Check and clean plenum; clean cooling coils and check for leaks, if equipped
Operate unit - Check all controls, indoor and outdoor thermostats, timers, control relays, and freeze protection
Record outside ambient air temperature: ______F
Record return air temperature: ______F
Record supply air temperature: ______F
Check Fan Motor Amps: Rated______Actual ______
Replace any covers removed and clean area
Restore power and proper operating mode as needed
Remove all trash and debris from maintenance activities
Check out with District Physical Plant personnel

Treat all rusted areas with rust inhibitor and touch up paint
Inspect all wiring for deterioration
Tighten electrical connections
Clean air intake and screens
Check dampers and seals for dirt accumulations
Check damper motors and linkage for proper operation
Lubricate mechanical connections of dampers sparingly
Replace filters
Check belts for wear; adjust tension or alignment and replace when necessary
Clean fan and motor
Lubricate fan and motor if required
Check all motors, belts, pulleys, shafts, etc. for alignment
Check fan for vibration or excessive noise.
Check vent stack for obstructions, leaks, etc.
Clean bottom of vent stack (breaching)
Clean burner, chamber, thermocouple and control
Check combustion chamber for cracks, holes, or other defects
Adjust pilot or electric ignition device
Inspect vent operation
Check burner for flashback and tight shutoff of fuel
Operate unit and adjust burner
Check operation of controls; Clean and adjust if necessary
Check operation of safety pilot, gas shutoff valve, and other burner safety devices
