  1. Tom Maloney made 1st motion with Jon Rader seconding the motion to reinstate Mike Moddeman and Mark Lyle. The reinstatement of Moddeman and Lyle was approved unanimously.
  1. Craig Witker made 1st motion with Jon Rader seconding the motion to approve May meeting minutes. The meeting minutes were approved unanimously.
  1. Mike Moddeman presented the Treasurer’s report. Mike said there was $17,851 in checking, $11,878. The Stars received $5,000 from the Reece’sfunding raising activities. The profits will be split between Stars and AAU. Dave Kleinfelder made 1st motion with John Schaffer seconding the motion to approve MayTreasurer’s report. The Treasurers report was approved unanimously.
  1. Old Business
  1. Shane Mueller is working the parking lots to see if we can have them for rentals this year for the Fourth of July parade. Craig will get the information out on the parade for the Stars to march in and Shane will line up the parking lot workers. (Action Item: Closed)
  2. Tom Maloney and Mike Moddeman decided not to pursue the line issue with banks for both the Stars and OSYSS. (Action Item: Closed)
  3. Shane Mueller requested that Craig Witker to get quotes for new side baskets and examine the insulation issues at Henley. The need to fix the condensation problem on the Henley ceiling. Craig gave a brief update on the water issues at Henley. The cost is $20,000 for hooking up to city water. (Action Item: Witker)
  4. John Schaffer and Tim Minnich are examining the Kohl’s fund raising program. (Action Item: Schaffer/Minnich)
  5. Shane Mueller met with the Coke representative and are examining the potential of converting to Coke products for a 3-5 year deal. We are waiting on a proposal from Coke. (Action Item: Mueller)
  6. Fall League: Art Zimmerman has 36 signed up for the Fall League. Art has been to several basketball tourneys to hand out information. C. Witker and L. Campbell provided lists for eligible Stars players to Art. (Action Item: Closed)
  7. Shane Mueller provided an update on board position openings that will be voted on at the July board meeting. Some individuals are not currently on the board that have shown interest in positions. Brett Bush is interested in the RecreationDirector position, Karen Ochs is interested in the Treasurer, and Micaela Leonard is interested in the Advertising/Fund. The big issue is the open Program Director position.

  1. Tom Maloney gave the Creek Complex update. Tom is working on clearing the tempest room and they are power washing the wall. Tom Maloney is looking for help on Saturday morning.
  2. Craig Witker provided OSYSS Update. Craig stated they are close to having the naming rights done for the complex. A physical trainer is probably 60 days out from renting.
  3. Shane Mueller provided an update on the coach’s selection. Shane provided his thoughts on the coaches. Eddie Conley came in to discuss the 5th grade boys’ basketball position. Eddie has coached future stars. He would like to be a head coach, but would be willing to be an assistant coach.
  4. Patrick Seltsam was selected as coach for the 5th Grade Red Boys and Cedric Baldwin was selected as coach for 5th Grade White Boys with Dan Bondurant as assistant coach. Doug Franck was selected as coach for the 6th Grade Red Boys and Clay Roberts was selected as coach for 6th Grade White Boys. Jay Walter was selected as coach for the 3rd Grade Red Boys and Rob Kaiser was selected as coach for 3rd Grade White Boys. Jay Tincu was selected as coach for the 4th Grade Red Boys and Gary DeMartino was selected as coach for 4th Grade White Boys. Amanda Walter was selected as 3rd Grade Girls. Paula Rhoades was selected as 4th Grade Girls. Dave Holstein was selected as 5th Grade Girls. Johnny Campbell was selected as 6th Grade Girls.
  5. Craig Witker announced he is moving to Sugarcreek Township.

8. Dave Kleinfleder made a motion to adjourn with Art Zimmerman seconding it. The motion passed unanimously and meeting adjourned at 9:32.
