Please note that for regional championship purposes, this is a Region 9 tournament. Amanda Brown is the Regional Director.

Prizes/Titles/Awards

Every dog racing in this year’s tournament willreceive a prize! Prizes will be in your teams' welcome bags (an assortment of fastback Frisbees, toys, and chewies). All humans (7 per team) will receive a prize as well (they are all the same, no difference for placements). Please sign up dogs who earn NAFA titles during the weekend (and please only those that are earned at our tournament) on our posted sheets. We will be giving title ribbons to each dog who earned titles at our tournament. And last but not least, we have something for the Junior Handlers, so please sign them up as well.

Site

The tournament will be held at the Fairchild Community Center in Burlington, NC. The facility is not air-conditioned, but has plenty of shaded areas for crating outside (no indoor crating). Please do not block any entrances and be respectful of others. We will be utilizing large industrial fans to move some air through the gym. We will be setting up from noon Friday until we are done. You may drop off any boxes and balls after 3pm and before 9pm Friday night. The building will close promptly at 9 pm Friday night. The outside has grass areas that must be kept clean as usual; bags and containers will be provided. Please do not allow dogs to urinate outside along the front of the building or on anything someone has to pick-up. Please pay attention to your dog while you are talking so that you don’t miss picking something up your dog has left behind. Bags and waste buckets will be provided. Please observe all posted signs for parking restrictions. No alcoholic beverages allowed on the premises.

Crating/Parking Alert

There is a chance that the ball field outside will be used for a softball tournament on Saturday and Sunday. Fairchild is the overflow field for the softball tournament, so it will depend on their entries. If that is the case, then we will be sharing the parking lot, and we should not set up our crating areas so close to the ball field, as the softball players will be using the immediate grassy areas to warmup, and we want to be out of range of foul balls. In this case, we will have a Fur Funner available to help you pick your crating space. Some people (especially those with EZ Ups) might want to consider the front yard, rather than the side yard, for crating areas. We will know whether Fairchild will be needed for overflow softball games on Thursday, March 22nd, and will keep you posted. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

RV/Camping

RV camping - No pre-registration is required and no need to alert us you're bringing an RV.
