Bid/Spec Sheet for Uniforms and Shop Towels Service

PennDOT District 4-5, Susquehanna County, Montrose, PA

Specifications for Uniforms:

  • Estimate total of employees using uniforms: 13 (subject to change at any time)
  • Bid must be submitted as unit price per person per week. Bid prices shall remain fixed if uniforms or employees are added or deleted. Purchase to be awarded based on total weekly price of all itemson bid combined, excluding replacement garment lines.
  • Bid must include all costs and/or fees i.e.: delivery, environmental, fuel, etc.
  • Each employee will receive 12 sets of uniforms. Additionally, uniform pieces must be individually numbered for ease of tracking in house.
  • Contractor shall be able to supply up to 20 various sizes of uniforms to properly fit employees.
  • Once-a-week pick-up and cleaning of at least 5 out of 12 sets of uniforms per employee.
  • Contractor to include unit costs for all garments in case any item needs to be replaced due to unrepairable/uncleanable damage.
  • Damaged goods must be invoiced and paid as a separate line item on the weekly invoice.
  • Contractor shall make repairs/alterations/corrections within 2 weeks of written notification, or this will be grounds to cancel purchase order in its entirety.
  • New, unused uniforms must be issued at start of contract period.
  • Pricing remains in effect for a two year period. Approximate dates that purchase order will be in effect areJuly 1, 2014 thru June 30, 2016.
  • Department will not be held responsible for lost/missing garments.

Pants:

  • 7 employees (approx) shall receive denim jean
  • 4 employees (approx) shall receive industrial blend
  • 2 employees (approx) shall receive flame resistant denim jean

Shirts:

  • 1 employee shall receive white button down oxford
  • 7 employees (approx) shall receive industrial blend
  • 3 employees (approx) shall receive100% cotton industrial
  • 2 employees (approx.) shall receive flame resistant
  • All shirts to be long sleeve, with employee name on right and “PennDOT”on left side of shirt

Colors of uniforms to be finalized with low bid vendor.

Weekly Shop Towel:

Rental/usageofapproximately 150 shop towels per week. Shop towels must be clean and free of any debris and/or chemicals.

Once a low bidder is established and a purchase order is awarded, a time and date will be set for vendor to obtain sizes, names, and any other information needed.

NO Company contracts will be signed by PennDOT personnel.

All quantities are estimated.
