BHP Billiton Visiting Professor Program

Guidelines

Overview

The Visiting Professor Program provides an attractive opportunity to bring international high profile researchers to the Business School to undertake research, collaborate with Business School researchers and participate in public lectures and other profile-building activities. The BHP Billiton Visiting Professor Program is open to Professors across all discipline areas and provides travel, accommodation and expenses. Disciplines can make applications on an annual basis and the successful visitors would be expected, as part of the program, to participate in faculty events and teaching activities.

This program has been made possible via a commitment by BHP Billiton to The University of Western Australia's New Century Campaign, reinforcing the company's longstanding relationship with the University. The BHP Billiton investment includes $5 million to support the UWA Business School, with funds dedicated to the provision of scholarships, a research fellowship, engagement opportunities with scholarship recipients and alumni, and a high-profile visiting professors' program.
