  • Attained a 97% graduation rate in 2009 and 98% in 2010.
  • Rewarded for exceptional performance by original placement in the Autonomous Zone, gaining further freedom to innovate.
  • Created the High School for Public Service, a public school within the New York City Department of Education, specifically designed to deliver high quality education in a socio-economically depressed community.
  • Designed an innovative educational model, which won a $500,000 grant from the Gates Foundation to start the school.
  • Appointed high school principal at age 26, youngest in New York State.
