PRESS RELEASE 2015/03/11
BEGO presents: new development and advancements for digital dentistry
BEGO introduced new and improved solutions for users in the area of CAD/CAM at the International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne. In addition to the newly introduced BEGO Varseo 3D printing system, especially the selective laser melting method has been optimized. This results in exciting opportunities for treatments.
In time for the opening of the dental world’s leading trade fair BEGO therefore presents not only the Varseo 3D printer for quick, easy and cost-effective laboratory fabrication of restorations made from high-performance resins but also diverse other highlights, like hybrid manufactured secondary bars. The CAD modelled tertiary structures are being produced with the selective laser melting process and their inner surface is being smoothed by means of high speed milling machines in order to
enable excellent friction. The laboratory receives a custom-fit tertiary structure that combines the advantages of both CAM techniques perfectly. The secondary bars will be available as of autumn 2015.
In addition to the improved SLM processing, CAD/CAM model casting frameworks via SLM can be produced and users can benefit from even thinner margins and thus improved margin geometry for crowns and bridges. Also CAD/CAM double crowns with friction elements are available. BEGO Medical thus extends its already extensive implant prosthetic portfolio by new interfaces. In addition to the PS line, to provide BEGO Semados®RS/RSX implants with platform switch, other implant interfaces for third-party systems have been developed. In future custom one-piece abutments made from Grade 5 titanium and screw-retained bridges and bars made from Grade 5 titanium and Wirobond®MI+ for Neoss* Pro Active* will therefore also be supplied. Two-piece abutments fabricated using the materials BeCe®CAD Zirkon+, BeCe®CAD Zirkon XH, BeCe®Temp and various CAD/Castalloys for Ankylos* from DENTSPLY Implants and for Camlog iSy* will also be available.
