Basingstoke and District Table Tennis League

70th Annual Closed Championships 2011/2012

Finals Night: Basingstoke Rugby Club, Tuesday 24thApril (from 7pm)
The championships are open to all registered members of the Basingstoke & District Table Tennis League regardless of the number of matches they have played in the current season.
- 18-40 Singles entrantsmust be aged between 18 and 39 on January 1st 2012
- Veteran’s Singles entrants must have reached the age of 40 by January 1st 2012
- Super Veteran’s Singles entrants must have reached the age of 55 by January 1st 2012
- Division 1 Singles will be restricted from the top players (to be decided upon receipt of all entries)
- The sports hall will be open for practice from 8:30am
- Players are permitted to enter any divisional singles event above their own if they wish but can only enter 1 divisional singles event. Over 55’s can enter Super Veterans AND Veterans Singles events.
- Entries will be confirmed either by phone, text or email as selected below.
- Draws will be made by the Tournament Organiser – Sue Tompsett and will take place on Wednesday 18th April 2012

Handicap Singles and Handicap Doubles will be played as and when players are available throughout the day.
Events will be a mixture of group and straight knock out depending on number of entries in each event.
Players who lose their Men’s Singles first round matches will be automatically entered into a plate consolation event, the final of which will be played on the day.
Please note that these times are event start times and are a rough guide only. Please ensure you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time of your first event in case the day’s play is ahead of schedule.
Events will progress throughout the day and matches will be scheduled on table as and when possible. Players will be expected to umpire matches that are not necessarily within their own events.
Refreshments will be available.
The final of most events are scheduled to be played on “Finals Night” on Tuesday 24th April starting 7pm at Basingstoke Rugby Club, (off Coniston Road), Pack Lane, Basingstoke, RG22 5HH. 1 or 2 events may be played to a finish on the Saturday. This will be decided after the entry closing date.
