WELCOME BACK FAMILIES!!

We are excited to begin a new year at Lincoln Elementary School!

We are excited to begin a new year at Lincoln Elementary School! With your help and support, weare hoping to continue to bring the same great programs as in years past to our school and we hope to do even more. This year, we are able to continue to provide all of our students with homework foldersto help them keep their papers that go home organized.

Our PTO Executive Board and Committees are currently in need of many volunteers. We had many parents “graduate” last year that leave us with open positions. In order to continue the wonderful programs we provide our school, parent volunteers are crucial. Please consider being an active part in our PTO. Your involvement in our school is an integral part of your child’s elementary school experience. Please join us for our first PTO meeting of the year on September 20th at 7pm to learn more about what you can do.

We thank you in advance for taking the time to read through the attached materials and returning our forms as soon as possible so that we can begin planning our exciting year ahead.

Dear Lincoln School Families:

Our PTO is actively involved in what happens here at the school. We would like to invite ALL families to become part of the Lincoln School PTO. By becoming a member of our PTO family, it will allow your child(ren) to attend our PTO sponsored events at little or no cost to your family AND it will allow us to continue our AMAZING programs at school.

What if there was no PTO?????What if our school didn’t have any money to keep the following events going? What if there were less Field Trips?Or no funding towards Field Trips?What if there was no FUN DAY? Our PTO allows to continue programs and events such as….. Homework Folder Program, Alumni Scholarships, Birthday Board, Breakfast with Frosty and Santa, Fifth Grade Night of Recognition, School Assemblies, School Spirit Events, Skate Party, and Safety Patrol Picnic. Our PTO helps raise these much needed funds for our students and help build strong community spirit by hosting various events all year long.

By participating in the following PTO sponsored events, each one of you will help us reach our goals:

Book Fair, Box Tops, Campbell's Soup Labels, Fall Fundraiser, Spring Fundraiser, Holiday Sales,

Pretzel Sale, Spirit Wear, School Store, and MORE….

Please remember that your membership does NOT require you to attend our monthly meetings or functions, although we always welcome you and encourage you to do so. A family membership is just $5.00, regardless of how many children attend Lincoln School.

Please complete the form below to submit your membership and have your child return it to his/her teacher in an envelope. To avoid confusion, it is necessary that all the information requested be complete. Please be sure to specify the number of children attending Lincoln school, their teacher’s name(s) and grade.

Classes attaining 100% membership will receive a special treat at the end of the school year!!

Attention Families….

Class Representatives needed for all grade levels!

Dear Lincoln School Families,

As a class representative, your duties take little time, but will yield great satisfaction for you and your child.

Class Representativeduties include:

Work with fellow class representative(s) and the teacher to organize, get supplies for and/or participate in 3 classroom celebrations for the school year. The celebration includes Halloween, Winter/Holiday, and End-of-Year. They will be held during the school day.
Maintain a list of emergency phone numbers as a back-up for our Connect Ed system. The list and phone numbers will be distributed by the Class Representative Coordinator for the school.

If you would like to be chosen you must attend the Class Representative meeting on Monday October 10th, 2016 @6:30 pm in the library.

Tax Deductible Donation 2016

This year we are pleased to announce that we will continue with an additional option to help support our school. Many parents have expressed an interest in making a tax deductible donation to the PTO in lieu of some of our fundraisers.

Based on our 2015-2016 budget, it will cost the PTO at least $50.00 PER STUDENT to provide the programs and events that have been given in the past: Harvest Festival, Class Trips, Fun Day, Assemblies, Teacher Appreciation and more. Please feel free to donate whatever your means allow. If you would like, you may break up the donation throughout the school year.

Your generous support, whether you choose to make a direct donation or participate in our PTO sponsored fundraisers, will be greatly appreciated!
