Arethereanyotherfundinglimitations?

  • TheCollegewillnotretroactivelyfundresearchprojects.
  • Thefundingofficewillnotusuallyprovidesupportforcontinuationofpreviouslyfundedresearchprojectsafterthe factunlesstheentirescopeoftheprojecthasbeenevaluated.Inother words,ifyoureceivedacourserelease andthendecideyouneedresearchassistanttohelp withdataentryfortheproject,thefundingoffice maychoosenotfund your Mini-Grant.Youshould makeeveryefforttoincludealloftheresearch-relatedexpenserequestswithintheoriginalproposal.

Donotcountonthe fundingofficeforrepeatedsupportforagivenproject.If,forexample,youneedaresearchassistantfordataentry,aneditorforthemanuscript,anindex,andpublicationpermissions,planahead,totheextentpossible,andincludeallyourprojectedexpensesforagivenprojectwithinoneMini-Grantapplication.

  • Thefundingoffice maychoosetosupportcertainaspectsorphasesofaproposalandnotothers,andtomakegrantsconditional.
  • UnusedfundsfromMini-Grantsdonotrolloverintothenextfiscalyear;finalstipendorexpensepaymentsareforfeitedbyindividualswhodonotcompletetheirprojectswithinthefiscalyearforwhichtheawardisgiven.
