INTESRESTS AND ACTIVITIES

I am a keen historian of mathematics, physics and computer science, of its development and its developers (or inventors). This pursuit has led to the reading of the excellent publications of E.T. Bell, biographies of a selection of the great mathematicians/physicists of the past including: Johann Carl Freidrich Gauss, Albert Einstein, Sir William Rowan Hamilton and Max Born amongst others. From this reading, insight into the thinking, personality and genius of these great minds is available. I am a keen chess and golf player. I am also fluent in Greek. My research interest include: Applied Mathematics and the Theoretical/ Mathematical aspects of Computer Science, in particular: Boundary Value Problems, Complex Variable Theory, Non-Linear Dynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Formal Methods (Z), Floyd-Hoare Logic and Fuzzy Logic.
