  • Depart NJ for Colorado on Thursday, June 28, 2018
  • Arrive at Philmont on Saturday, June 30
  • Depart Philmont for NJ on Thursday, July 12
  • Itinerary –Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Koshare Kiva (possible alterative place to be selected).
  • Camperships / Scholarships may be available Nov 30, 2017
  • Contingent size:
  • 70 hikers minimum – 50 scouts and 20 adult leaders. Scouts have priority, then advisors when deciding who goes.
  • Cost is $2,200 for scouts and $2,000 for advisors
  • Not everyone guaranteed to go. By November 2017, crews should be locked.
  • 4 advisors max per crew & minimum of 6 Scouts
  • Will try to set up crews by troop and zip code

Fall Contingent Hikeopen

  • Fall Shakedown September 15 – 17 Stokes State Forest –Reservation Haskins group site for E. 30 people, F 30 people, I 30 people and H. for 100 people @ $500 for all

Fall and Spring food logistics will be order by Terry Schmalzrie

  • Perry Yost received quote for $1,250 for Browntown bus for Fall and $1350 Spring shakedown. 2 busses for each trip Service (732) 591-1966. A truck will still needs to be rented to transfer the packs and need estimate. Perry Yost. We may decide to rent only one bus
  • Spring shakedown April 13 – 15, 2018 and reserved Forestburg. Giovanni Migliazza help to planning logistics and recruit volunteers to run mini-Philmont.

The Advisors Contingency Meetings (advisors or new advisors only) will be the first Tuesday of each month so we can use the large meeting room. Most meetings will be at the Service Center unless the date needs to be adjusted – all meetings start at 7:30.
