Notes

General:

  1. The information provided by the customer in this application will be used to prepare cost estimates and a facility construction agreement.
  2. The design of the measuring station or other facilities is dependent on multiple factors that require accurate information requested in this application. Incomplete or inaccurate information may result in start-up delays and/or additional costs to the customer.
  3. Atmos receives gas from the customer at a Receipt Point MS. Atmos delivers gas to the customer at a Delivery Point MS.
  4. Atmos will operate, maintain and be the custody transfer party on all production receipt point and end-use customer delivery measuring stations.
  5. All physical taps/hot taps/risers made on Atmos’ pipelines will always be the responsibility of Atmos or Atmos’ contractors.
  6. Atmos will work to minimize the distance between measuring station and the Atmos pipeline tap by having both the measuring station and the tap located on the same measuring station lot.
  7. Minimum lot size for a measuring station usually will be 100’ x 100’ or equivalent size. Large stations may require addition square footage.
  8. Measuring station interconnects require access from a nearby all-weather existing road or new road typically furnished by the customer.
  9. The measuring station must not be located in any floodplain or draw.
  10. Measuring station proximity to houses & buildings will be considered during lot selection.

Measuring Station Equipment:

  1. Some measuring station equipment requires solar power. Trees and other obstructions that block sunlight may require remediation.
  2. All receipt point interconnections east of Glasscock Co. and west of Rusk Co. and north of North Zulch will require an odorizer at the measuring station to inject odorant into the gas. Additional road access and measuring station lot size increases may apply so odorant trucks can access the measuring station.
  3. Receipt Point Measuring Stations with ANY well head or field gas having levels of H2S levels greater than 2 ppm will require mandatory H2S monitoring equipment. Field levels of H2S greater than 500 ppm require redundant monitors.
  4. Electric power will be required at most interconnection points.

Gas Quality:

  1. Atmos Pipeline – Texas gas quality specs link:
  2. Atmos may request to take an independent sample of a well at no cost to the producer.
  3. High water vapor content of gas, especially during hot summer months, it especially troublesome. Please ensure that upstream dehydration is adequately sized for 100oF plus ambient temperatures so gas is not shut in for high moisture.
  4. Physical liquids (e.g., water, hydrocarbons, oil) are never acceptable and may result in gas being shut in immediately. Producing customers should provide adequate separation and tankage downstream upstream and outside of the measuring station and downstream of all other customer equipment.

Customer Field Production Equipment:

  1. Customer compression, processing, treating, separation, and dehydration equipment will not be permitted on the measuring station lot.
  2. Atmos operating pressures usually run significantly below the MAOP on most of Atmos’ pipelines. However, unless otherwise directed, the customer should design upstream compression such that the customer is able to deliver gas at pressures close to Atmos’ pipeline MAOP to help ensure deliveries of gas to Atmos when system pressures are elevated. Upstream compression must not affect the accuracy of the measurement.

Information provided on this form is correct, to the best of my knowledge, and the notes above have been read and understood.
