Observing Projects –Moon Craters (10 points) - If you see the Moon through a telescope at the observatory
INSTRUCTIONS: Print this sheet. Bring it with you. Fill in your name and the date below. Hand the sheet to the astronomy instructor. If an instructor is not there, have one of the MAS people (the ones at the telescopes) verify your arrival and departure times. Don’t hesitate to ask. They are friendly.

WHO:General public. Children are welcome but must be well behaved and supervised at all times.
COST:$5 daily park use permit per car (cash or check only). (Annual is $24). Pay by envelope at the front gate to the park.Star party is free but donations to the MAS are gladly accepted.
DIRECTIONS:The park's address is: 10775 County Road 33, Norwood Young America, MN 55397
From MCTC, go west on 394 for ~7.5 miles.
Go south on 494 for ~9 miles.
Take the MN-5W/US-212W exit (heading west).
Keep on 212W for about 28 miles to Norwood-Young America.
Go to the second stop light (just past the DQ on the right). Turn right onto Cty Rd 33 (headed north).
Go north on Cty Rd 33 for ~3.5 miles.The entrance to Baylor Regional Park is on your right.
ONCE YOU ARRIVE AT THE PARK:
Put your park entrance fee in an envelope that should be just past the guard house.
Proceed straight ahead on the dirt road (curves to the right). The observatory is on the hill in front of you.
Park in the dirt lot about 40 meters to the right of the observatory (not on the asphalt by the observatory).
WHAT TO BRING:This paper. $5 cash or check for park entry fee. Mosquito repellent in the spring and summer! Warm clothes in spring and fall. A red-filtered flashlight is useful but not necessary. (NO white lights!).
