Spring 2017 AUSA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Fort Rucker - Wiregrass AUSA Chapter will award scholarships to dependent children and spouses of active-duty, retired or deceased military personnel of all ranks.

Scholarships will be based on academic achievement, personal achievement, and community involvement, not financial need. The scholarship funds may be used for tuition and other academic expenses charged by the institution.

Instructions and Procedures

1.  ELIGIBLE APPLICANT MUST BE A DEPENDENT SON OR DAUGHTER OR SPOUSE OF A SERVING ARMY ACTIVE, RESERVE, NATIONAL GUARD, RETIRED OR DECEASED MILITARY PERSONNEL OF ALL RANKS.

2.  The applicant is to attend college or vocational school during the academic year 2017-2018.

3.  Two (2) Scholarship Applicant Recommendations (use attached form) must be included with the application. One recommendation should be from a teacher or supervisor and the other recommendation should be from a person of your choice, not related to you.

4.  Copies of official transcripts from high school(s), vocational school(s), and/or all colleges.

5.  Completed application packets must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2017 and mailed to:

6.  Do not put your name on any portion of your application except page 2.

7.  Incomplete applications will be disqualified. It is your responsibility to ensure that the application is complete and on time.
