Job Title / Assistant Scheme Manager
Location Of Job / CALLP Office, Lochinver, Sutherland.
Dept/Region / SWT North Office, Tore, Inverness.
Reporting To / CALLP Scheme Manager
Term / Full 5 years of the Landscape Partnership Scheme, on FTE basis (35 hours / week) in line with SWT’s standard T&Cs of employment.

Overview;
The CALLP Scheme comprises 14 Partner organisations together delivering 28 projects over a 5 year period. The Heritage Lottery Fund is the principle funder, with a number of separate match funders also involved with the Scheme. Keeping track of the financial progress of projects, payment of invoices, and grant claims will be fundamental to the Scheme’s overall success and smooth running.

Main Role of the Post;
To be the first point of contact for the CALLP project team, managing and directing all enquiries and correspondence amongst the team, and being the primary contact for the Scheme’s financial management; issuing and paying invoices, close liaison with SWT’s Finance and Project’s team and submitting grant claims to HLF, and as required, the Scheme’s match funders.

In Particular;

  • Managing the CALLP Office(s);
  • Responsibility for maintaining the Scheme’s financial register, in conjunction with SWT;
  • Raising purchase orders and invoices as required;
  • Managing the process by which invoices are authorised for payment and once complete forwarding to SWT for payment;
  • Receiving and managing enquiries, and directing this amongst the Scheme’s staff team as appropriate
  • Undertake Scheme communications and press releases

Personal Specification / Required Skill Set;

  • Experience of completing funding applications, and submitting grant claims
  • Experience of complex financial management and reporting
  • Experience of working with Partnerships, Companies, Boards and/or other forms of management groups
  • Experience of preparing agendas, papers and minutes and reporting to a committee
  • A good understanding of the CALLP Scheme and of the Living Landscape philosophy
  • A good team player but with the ability able to work on own initiative
  • The ability to work with a diverse range of people throughout Coigach and Assynt
  • Experience in preparing promotional materials and in using / updating websites and social media
  • Good IT skills including; Word, Excel, Email, Internet, PowerPoint, and image / video handling
  • A working knowledge of health & safety practices and protocols
  • A full valid driving licence, and access to a vehicle is required, as key locations are not accessible by public transport
