Diagnostic Summary
Please document diagnostic steps taken as well as diagnostic tools used to access asset.
I was able to IPL the machine and take screen shots of most of the resources listed on the inventory sheet. The last components listed under the heading “Unable to see the following logically”, had to be manually inventoried. All of the un-observable components are PCI adapters, and the damage to the machine was to the PCI adapter area. I suspect the PCI expansion slots were affected by the damage, caused by the blow to the system. I cannot tell if the adapters were affected. They do not look damaged, they seat well into the adapter connectors, but they cannot be seen logically by the system. The dual power supplies and all the fans appear to be working normally.
Please document cosmetic condition of asset. Include exterior and interior summary.
The right, top, rear frame has a large dent in it, which is about ¼’ in depth. The top cover in the same area is also damaged. This area is where the latches and handles hold down the rear end of the PCI adapters. The frame seems to be square.
