Global GreenTagCert™ Level ACertified, high performance acoustic ceiling panels to control interior noise levels, available in a wide range of decorative options.
Product Description
Triton Acoustic Panels (Triton 15, 25, 40, 50, 75, 100)are ISO11654class A rated sound absorbers which provide efficient control of room reverberation times and background noise levels with minimal use of material. This means more sound absorption per/m² or kg of material used compared to other material types.
Triton panels are available in a wide range of standard and custom decorative finishes, shapes, sizes, colours, edge wrapped and framed options that meet almost every application suspended grid and panel ceilings, free hanging cloud and baffle panels, linear beam panels, direct fix ceiling and wall panels for general office, classrooms, gyms, swimming pools, auditoriums, studios etc. Triton panels are light weight so low risk in seismic prone areas, non-combustible, low VOC, easy to handle and install and due to their unique composite construction designed to be easy disassembled, renewed and reused in buildings to extend the product life.
Triton Duo 35 and Triton Duo 60 are35mm or 60 mm thick ISO11654 class A composite acoustical ceiling panels designed to provide high sound absorption to control reverberation time with high mass to attenuate transmitted rain noise from metal roofs, noise from plenum mounted services or cross talk between offices.
Triton Sport is currently excluded from this certification
The product is GreenTagGreenRate Level ACertified under Scheme A21.

CAUTIONARY ASSESSMENT PROCESS (ESCAP)
Issues of Concern / Red Lights
The products have successfully passed the Ecospecifier Cautionary Assessment Process (ESCAP) and no Issues of Concern or Red Light Comments exist regarding the toxicity of the products.
The product is manufactured with glass fibre. The manufacturer has demonstrated appropriate measures to mitigate any risks associated with it during manufacture. There is no significant risk during installation or use. Furthermore, the base glass fibre in the fibre mattingisclassified as non respirable or biosoluble and non accumulative. Please follow manufacturer’s instructions when handling the product. Use of PPE has been verified during manufacture and is not required during installation as products are delivered in final forma ready for installation.
The manufacturer of Triton Acoustic Panels operates an OH&S system and an uncertified Environmental Management System and has a commitment to continuous improvement. No toxics are used or generated at the manufacturing site or on site.
This assessment covers the final product in use as well as manufacturing of the components which it comprises.

The company operates an uncertified EMS at their manufacturing facility.
Asona has not elected to undergo water use accounting and does not currently report on water use for the product.
LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Asona has not been involved in any litigation in the past 5 years and has demonstrated compliance with relevant social and environmental legislative or other legal requirements.
COMPLIANT SUPPLY CHAIN
The manufacture of Triton Acoustic Panels have implemented a Corporate Social Responsibility Policy that demonstrates the organisation considers the impacts of its activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, and all other members of the public sphere during corporate decision-making.
Independent assurance and documented evidence has been sighted by Global GreenTagfrom Asona’sdirect major suppliers for this product demonstrating whole of enterprise social compliance to International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions (as a minimum):

ENVIRONMENTAL CLAIMS
Yes. Supplier public claims onproducts’environmental performance are verified as compliant with ISO 14021 ‘Environmental Labels and Declarations – Self-Declared Environmental Claims’ (Type II Environmental Labelling requirements).
Biodiversity
The product also contains a majority of glass, aluminium and gypsum which are all derived from mining. Mining, can be a high biodiversity impact process. It leads to loss of biodiversity, modified soil/sand profiles, topography and drainage, which additionally impacts natural vegetation and surrounding biodiversity.
The product contains a minor content of a petroleum based binder. Petroleum can have significant marine biodiversity impacts in its extraction and potentially catastrophic impacts when spills occur.
FITNESS FOR PURPOSE
Products demonstrate compliance with the NZBC Verification Method C/VM2 Appendix A in compliance with ISO 5660 (2002): Reaction to fire tests, heat release, smoke production, and mass loss – Part 1: Heat release rate, and Part 2: Smoke production rate and achieve 1-S Group Number Classification.
Products have been tested with ISO 11654for Sound absorbers for use in buildings -- Rating of sound absorption and achieve class A.

PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM
Yes. Asona has implemented a product stewardship program (PSP) under the name of Renew.
VERIFICATION OF PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM
Asona has provided evidence that the necessary arrangements and relationships exist in order to carry out the obligations of its PSP.
DESIGN FOR DISASSEMBLY
The product is modular. Tiles can easily be replaced. Furthermore, tiles constituents can easily be taken apart to facilitate refurbishment and reuse or recycling.
IEQ Certification: VOCs: This product is Certified to Meet Green Star® IEQ VOC credits.
The GreenTagGreenRate certificate may be used to demonstrate compliance to the relevant Green Star® IEQ credits for VOC emissions.
Indoor Environment Quality
Triton Acoustic Panels have been tested for TVOC to ASTM D5116 and complies as a minimum with TVOC emissions limits as follows:
a)Total VOC limit 0.5mg/m2/hour.
Product does not adversely affect IEQ and these low emissions add to a healthy indoor environment.

The panel shall be Triton 15, 25, 40, 50, 75, 100, Triton Duo 35 or Triton Duo 60, as manufactured by Asona, installed in accordance with manufacturer’s written instructions to ensure provision of full product and installation warranty to Principal/Building Owner.

Fit For Purpose:The panel shall be resin bound glass fibre tiles with acoustic glass mat composite facing.

Green Performance:
The panel shall:
a)Be certified as LEVEL A under a New Zealand Green Building Council recognised third party certification system.
OR
b)Health and Ecotoxicity: Product shall comply with ESCAP and subject to a risk assessment not contain greater than 0.1% of any compound classified by the IARC as a Class 1, 2, 2A or 2B carcinogen, or classified by EU Directive 2001/59/EC as a Category 1, 2 or 3 Mutagen, or classified by EU Directive 2001/59/EC as a Category 1, 2, 3 or 4 Teratogen.
c)Social and Environmental Requirements: Product shall demonstrate legal compliance to Australian social and environmental legislation and provide evidence of Compliant Supply Chain and Compliant Environmental Claims (according to ISO 14021).
d)Durability: Product shall demonstrate compliance with all relevant Fit for Purpose requirements and provide replacement parts for the useful life of the product.
e)End of Life: Product shall demonstrate design for disassembly capability of a minimum of 90% where supplier shall demonstrate appropriate design for disassembly strategies that ensure products are designed in a way that enable their easy separation into recyclable units to improve end of life recycling (where relevant). Supplier shall provide contractual arrangements with the customer to take products back at the end of the products in-use phase for some form of refurbishment, reuse, or recycling.
f)VOC’s: Product shall be compliant to VOC and TVOC levels in accordance with ASTM D5116 and complies as a minimum with the following TVOC emissions limits:
- Total VOC limit 0.5mg/m2/hour
The manufacturer of the panels must also be in possession of valid:
a)Quality systems certificate, showing compliance with ISO 9001:2008.
