Asia Pacific Conference on Optics Manufacture 2009

APCOM 2009, Taipei

2009 Asia Pacific and 1stCross-Strait Conference on Optics Manufacture 2009

February 11-14, 2009

Let there be light; let light be brighter.

Call for papers

Objective:

The Pacific region has become a manufacturing hub for optical components and optoelectronics. These optical devices are widely used in various consumer and scientific products, instruments and lighting systems. The first Cross-Strait Conference on Optics Manufacture 2007(APCOM2007) has been successfully held in Hong Kong. It gathered more than 200attendees. The papers has been published in 2 special volumes of “Advances in Optics Design and Precision Manufacturing Technologies”The second APCOMand 1st Cross-Straitwill be held on 11th -14th February, 2009 in Taipei. APCOM2009 aims to provide an exciting platform for the international exchange of latest research findings and developments in the area of optical design, advanced optics manufacturing technology and optical measurement. It also intends to promote the sharing of ideas and emerging technologies, as well as to foster R&D collaboration amongst academics, research institutions and the relevant industries. (An Exhibition will be provided for industrialists to exhibit their products and offer souvenirs)

Organized by:

Co-sponsored by:

/ National Science Council / / Ministry of Education

Scope of the APCOM2009:

The advanced demands toward optical and electric products to be functional, light, thin and small are increasing and especially in (1)Light Capture, (2)Display, (3)Optical Communication, (4)Storage, (5)Lighting System, and (6)Solar Concentrator. With the requirement of low cost and high throughput, it is necessary to integrate every link in up and down comprehensively for improving manufacturing technology in photonics continuously. Topics of relevant fields are planned as following:

Optics and Interferometry

Advanced Optics Design

Modeling and simulation

Advanced Optics Manufacturing Technologies

Precision and Ultra-precision Machining Technology

Micro Molding Technology

Fabrication of Optical Microstructures

Fabrication of Aspheric and Freeform Optics

Glass Molding Technology

Precision Metrology and Surface Characterization

Optical Testing, Measurement and Instrumentation

Advanced Optical Materials

Design and Manufacturing of Displays

LED Illumination Technology

Optical Fiber & Photonics

Nano- and Micro-electrical-mechanical-optical Systems

Integration of Optical System
