Responsible for / Aspire Support Workers

Purpose

To co-ordinate a team of workers who provide support for disabled children,across Tameside. To support the Aspire Service Manager in ensuring the service runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. To receive requests for support from families and appropriate agencies.
  2. Where possible to re-organise staff cover in the event of a cancellation.
  3. To arrange appropriate support for families and individuals.
  4. To organise rotas of care staff and ensure these are communicated in a timely fashion to families, individuals and staff.
  5. To maintain an up to date register of available care staff and volunteers.
  6. To produce care plans and risk assessments and review these as necessary.
  7. To maintain detailed confidential client records
  8. To work within budgetary requirements supported by the accounts manager.
  9. To work with colleagues to ensure the service meets the standard of CQC (Care Quality Commission).
  10. To assist in the recruitment of staff and volunteers.
  11. To support staff and provide one to one supervision of staff.
  12. In conjunction with other colleagues provide out of hours phone cover for the service when required.
  13. To maintain accurate records and statistics of the Service and provide regular reports to the Manager.
  14. To provide and receive information from care staff and clients e.g. client monitoring forms, timesheets and client details etc. and to respond where necessary.
  15. To respond appropriately to emergency situations.
  16. To undertake any training deemed necessary for the post.
  17. To attend meetings re the Aspire Service as appropriate.
  18. To assist with the organisation and delivery of training for staff.
  19. To assist with the marketing of the service to referral agencies and directly to the public.
  20. To assist with the organisation and facilitation of new projects
  21. To undertake any other duties as appropriate.
