Responsible for / Aspire Support Workers
Purpose
To co-ordinate a team of workers who provide support for disabled children,across Tameside. To support the Aspire Service Manager in ensuring the service runs smoothly and efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To receive requests for support from families and appropriate agencies.
- Where possible to re-organise staff cover in the event of a cancellation.
- To arrange appropriate support for families and individuals.
- To organise rotas of care staff and ensure these are communicated in a timely fashion to families, individuals and staff.
- To maintain an up to date register of available care staff and volunteers.
- To produce care plans and risk assessments and review these as necessary.
- To maintain detailed confidential client records
- To work within budgetary requirements supported by the accounts manager.
- To work with colleagues to ensure the service meets the standard of CQC (Care Quality Commission).
- To assist in the recruitment of staff and volunteers.
- To support staff and provide one to one supervision of staff.
- In conjunction with other colleagues provide out of hours phone cover for the service when required.
- To maintain accurate records and statistics of the Service and provide regular reports to the Manager.
- To provide and receive information from care staff and clients e.g. client monitoring forms, timesheets and client details etc. and to respond where necessary.
- To respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- To undertake any training deemed necessary for the post.
- To attend meetings re the Aspire Service as appropriate.
- To assist with the organisation and delivery of training for staff.
- To assist with the marketing of the service to referral agencies and directly to the public.
- To assist with the organisation and facilitation of new projects
- To undertake any other duties as appropriate.
