Lord God, we look with mixed emotions at the turmoil and blessing of the past 500 years as the reformation spread throughout Europe and later influenced nations around the world. Today we and our sisters and brothers in the Lutheran church in Liberia celebrate the results of that reformation- a heritage of faith, hope and liberty. We pray that the election results in Liberia—announced this week—will bring faith and hope for the new government of Liberia.
