Jimmy Mizen was murdered in a violent and unprovoked attack in May 2008 on a trip to his local bakery, the day after his 16th birthday. On that day his parents promised two things, that they would not be beaten by his death and that something good would come out of it.

The For Jimmy charity works closely with young people in schools, local communities and other institutions, sharing Jimmy's storyas a way of promoting a sense of community and self confidence in themselves. They are building a legacy of peace, giving young people the opportunity to turn away from a life of violence and crime and have hope for their future. By working with young people to create Safe Havens across London and providing valuable work experience and training in their charity cafes, the charity are dedicated to making ourstreets safer for young people and creating responsible citizens.
