Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist - Beth Kaiser

Father would like two Eucharist ministers in the front and one in the back for the choir loft and elderly members.

Beth questioned the time of the lenten masses for scheduling. Masses will be as follows:

Ash Wednesday - 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Palm Sunday - 4:00 p.m. with a simple procession

10:00 a.m. with a formal procession beginning in the basement

Holy Thursday - 8:00 p.m. with 3 ministers for distribution of hosts and 2 for distribution of precious blood

Good Friday - 1:00 p.m.

Holy Saturday - 8:30 p.m.

Easter Sunday - 10:00 a.m.

Sacred Environment - Mary Hoesly

Mary advised a meeting had been held prior to the current meeting to discuss Lent and Easter decorations. Janet, Karen, Mary and Danielle Hoesly were present.

Readers - Marie Walter

Marie indicated she would be making out a readers schedule for the upcoming months including the Lenten season. She stated with the reduction of a mass, scheduling and finding a replacement was not a problem.

Father also asked that the reader take the book from the sacristy and place it on the pulpit, which would be an indicator that the reader was available and ready. He also asked to schedule a reader for the first reading and responsorial psalm, and a second reader for the second reading and remainder of mass. Father also asked that the reader not indicate "first reading" etc.( this is only for Sunday mass because there are enough readers, not for Saturday afternoon mass)

Marie advised there were three ladies helping out as Sacristans. She advised there were written instructions in the sacristy as to the duties. Marie questioned if any older students, were training as sacristarians or Master of Ceremony. It was indicated that all the older students had "graduated" as servers, but Father was interested in getting older students involved.

Youth Alter Servers, Sacristans, Master of Ceremonies - Tina Gardner

Tina was not able to attend, but left a report with Janet. She advised Tina was replacing Millie Larson in scheduling services and MCs. Millie had created a schedule until June. Tina will be contacting Father to see about the number of servers needed during Easter week.

Sacred Music - Peggy Jackson

Peggy advised chant music will beginning with Lent. Grace Genteman is working on coordinating an Easter choir, with Julie Miller as the organist/pianist. Peggy advised there were two musicians graduating and wanted to acknowledge their dedication and service. Acknowledgement of all students serving in any capacity will be done at the graduation mass.

Alter Society

Pam Meyer was not in attendance. Janet will contact Pam to see if she is interested in taking care of cleaning and repairing vestments and servers garments.

Father will talk to Chuck Rueth about taking care of placing altar cloths.

Father concluded with a closing prayer.

Adjourned meeting at 8:40 p.m.
