Bold Life Magazine is featuring my work in the May issue, available on the 1st. In conjunction, and in celebration of Mother’s Day, the delightful Firefly Gallery, 2689 Greenville Highway, Flat Rock, will have a Tea with the Artist from 12 to 2 pm. Many of my paintings will be on display and you may also purchase and have signed a copy of my children’s book, “The Night Ship.”

Arts Council of Henderson County
The Arts Council of Henderson County is looking for new office space for the Managing Director, Patty Smyers. The Community Foundation is expanding and will need our current office space. Ideally, we would like to stay near Main Street because of the programs that we facilitate: Art on Main, Bring Us Your Best, Mentors and Students, and it is easy for people to connect with us. We are a 501c3 and have steady income to pay our rent!! Please call Patty Smyers at the Arts Council with any information: 828-693-8504.

Coming up in May is our most popular exhibit of the year, Art in Bloom. We have 20 fine artists this year and Ikebana/freestyle floral designers interpreting the art. Larry Crume is one of the designers this year.
The Preview Reception is a fundraising event for the Hendersonville HS art teachers. We will limit the number of guests to 100. The gallery website has a link to register. The show is open to the public the rest of Memorial Weekend. This year, we are having floral demonstrations from 11am - noon each day at St. Paul Vineyard in Flat Rock (in our complex). Enjoy coffee or a mimosa and see how floral artists think/work!
This is our third year for Art in Bloom! Please help us make it a success by attending. =)
