July 15-17.Hardrock 100, Silverton CO. Two-time winner Kilian Jornet finished together with Jason Schlarb in 22:58:28, the second-fastest winning time, slower only than Kilian’s winning time in 2014. July 23. Mt Baldy 50k, plus marathon, and half marathon. Informal ‘fat ass’ events hosted by Brian Pilgrim and Lynette Gurule in the Santa Fe National Forest. I haven’t found posted results

The bad news: As always some ARR members also had disappointments in July; among these Brian Pilgrim had a DNF at Tahoe Rim Trail 100, Ian Maddieson DNF’ed at the Vermont 100, previous Hardrock 100 finishers Neil Blake, Randy Isler, Dennis Drey and Susan Gardner all had problems this year, but — undeterred — Brian is doing the Cloudsplitter 100 (Pine Mountain KY) on Oct 1, Ian is in Lean Horse 100 August 27, Neil is signed up for Mt Taylor 50k, and so on.
