1990 – date : active member in Psychiatric Reform and rehabilitation in Greece.

1991- 2003 : Scientific coordinator of rehabilitation units in Thessaloniki under

the auspice of the N.G.O. “Society of Mental Health and Social

Rehabilitation” in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and

E.U.

4. CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

From November 1984 when I received my speciality in parallel with my academic and research activities, I constantly work as a clinician first in the 1st Department of Psychiatry, Aristotle University Thessaloniki (1984-1992) and afterwards in the 3rd Department of Psychiatry, Aristotle University Thessaloniki (1992-date).

5. ACADEMIC WORK

From 1985 I lecture undergraduate and postgraduate students.

I have also supervised 9 PhD that completed successfully in four of them been part of the three member commit.

I am actually the main supervisor in 4 PhD that are in process.

6. OTHER ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

  • Responsible for organising elective courses in Neuropsychiatry,
  • Participation in education programme of other Medical Universities in Greece
  • Responsible for organizing educational workshops in international conferences.

7. RESEARCH AREAS.

My main research interests rely on neuropsychology, psychopharmacology, psychopathology and evaluation of psychiatric services.

8. PARTICIPATION IN INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH GROUPS – PROGRAMMES

  • 1991 - 1992 : member of the Greek team in E.C. Research Programme on the topic of Neuropsychology; "Calculation Sub-programme".
  • 1993 - 1996: member of the Greek team in BIOMED I, ESCAPE Programme, Calculation Workgroup

I was member of the organizing committee of 13 international and 13 national conferences.

I am an active member of 11 national and international scientific societies.

I have participated in 83 Greek and International scientific conferences with lectures or presentations.
