MPX-MD4 Architect & Engineer Specification

Bid Spec

1.0  Description

The Digital Multiplexer described shall be a Sanyo Model number MPX-MD4 or equivalent. The Multiplexer described shall be an industrial grade 4-channel black and white multiplexer operating in a duplex mode.

2.0  Bid Specifications

The digital Multiplexer shall allow multiplexed recording of up to 4 cameras simultaneously onto a single VCR. Each camera shall be sequentially recorded in fields at a rate up to 60 fields per second. The digital Multiplexer shall have the ability during live as well as playback mode to display individual cameras or all 4 cameras in a quad type display. The digital multiplexer shall have the capability of showing all 4 cameras in full (30 fields per second) motion. The multiplexer shall have a freeze frame ability and variable zone zoom modes, which can be used with both 4-screen display mode and full screen display mode. The digital multiplexer shall have the ability to have individual dwell time setting capability for monitor 1 and monitor 2.

The multiplexer shall have the ability to produce a picture with a resolution of 720x464 pixels. The gray scale shall be a minimum of 256 steps. The video format shall be EIA 1.0Vp-p at 75 Ohms, Unbalanced.

The digital multiplexer shall have 4 BNC video inputs and 4 BNC video outputs. The video outputs shall be self-terminating.. VCR input and output shall have BNC connectors. The digital multiplexer shall have 2 monitor outputs. Monitor 1 shall be BNC connector. Monitor 2 shall be a BNC connector. The digital multiplexer shall have pushbutton terminals for (4) alarm inputs and (1) master alarm outputs, VCR switching input, resistive ladder control, and common. The digital multiplexer shall have a DB-9 connector for RS232 remote control. The digital multiplexer shall have a removable grounded plug. The multiplexer shall operate on 120V AC, 60Hz

The multiplexer shall feature 2-mode activity detection recording. Mode 1 shall interleave the corresponding alarmed camera with the non-alarmed cameras, thus giving an alarmed camera priority while maintaining information of all cameras. Mode 2 shall only record the alarmed camera.

The digital multiplexer shall have motion detection capabilities with 10 sensitivity level settings. The multiplexer shall have camera timer output modes to program the recording of selected cameras during selected times.

The digital multiplexer shall be rack mountable and occupy (1) EIA rack height unit. The digital multiplexer shall not exceed a dimension of 420mm(W)x44mm(H) x325mm (D). The multiplexer shall not exceed a weight of 3.4kg. The multiplexer shall be UL listed and ISO9001 certified.
