JOB DESCRIPTION

1.INTRODUCTION

1.1Name of Postholder:

1.2Job Title: Attendance and Progress Data Officer, Kirkby High School

1.3Job Purpose:Under the reasonable direction of the Headteacher, carry out the professional duties in line with the job profile.

The postholder will be required is to oversee attendance across the school, ensuring that students are attending and barriers to learning are addressed and reduced. You will be responsible for dealing with staff, pupils, parents and externals agencies working within a small team and the Assistant Headteacher.

In liaison with our senior team, you will provide assistance and support of student progress and provide efficient, effective analysis and management of the school's assessment, recording and tracking systems.

Support the aims and objectives of the Academy and The Rowan Learning Trust (RLT)

1.4Line Management:Reporting to the Assistant Headteachers (pastoral and data).

1.5Liaising With:Headteacher, senior leadership team, relevant teaching and support staff, relevant external agencies and parents

1.7Salary Scale:Grade 6 Scale point range 22-27 (£20,661 - £24,174) pro rata

1.8Working Time:This is a full time post with a 36 hour working week, term time only (43 weeks).

2.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assessment, Reporting and Attendance Data

  • Input and extraction of data from computer system including 4matrix, Innoved, SIMs Attendanceand Assessment Manager.
  • Data management ensuring legal requirements.
  • Production of all student reports with regard to attainment and attendance.
  • Producing Analysis reports as requested.
  • Producing and collating attainment and attendance certificates for students.
  • Using Fischer Family Trust data for information with regard to target setting and any other information required from this source.
  • Referrals to the Local Authority Attendance Team and external agencies.
  • Attainment progress and attendance reporting to Governors.
  • Profile raising of attendance.
  • SIMS System Manager for attendance and assessment modules.

3.Academy Ethos

  • Promote actively the Rowan Learning Trust’s corporate policies.
  • Comply with the academy’s health and safety policy and undertake risk assessments as appropriate.
  • Comply and assist with policies and procedures relating to child protection, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.
  • Establish constructive relationships with staff and external agencies.
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings as may be reasonably directed.
  • Participate in training and performance management.
