Management Requirements
·  Limit approval of additional straight time (regular rate) payment or compensatory leave accrual to extremely rare and unique circumstances that require an excessive amount of additional work time.
·  Do not provide hour-for-hour overtime compensation or compensatory leave.

Complete the information below, obtain appropriate signatures and forward to VCU Human Resources through ImageNow FAX at 827-8250 by the 25th of the month to be effective on the 10th of the following month after approval by HR.

Overtime (Straight) Pay
·  Will normally be included in a single check, which could result in a higher tax bracket. / Compensatory Leave
·  Accrued compensatory leave will be keyed into the leave reporting system by HR.
·  Is effective the 10th of the following month after approval by HR (if received by the 25th of the previous month).
·  Expires within 12 months of the date it is awarded.
·  Unused active compensatory leave is paid to employee upon separation.
