ExpressionsofInterest(EOI)for use June 2019 to Jan 2020 (closes Nov 1 2018)

tousetheWan’din’in Arts Space are invited and are subject to the conditions outlined below:

Thespaceis40m2with an outside covered area.Thespacehaswallhangingareaswithpicturerail andsecurewirehangers as well as a large numberofplinthstodisplay3Dwork. There are clear acrylic box tops for many of the plinths to display delicate items.

See attached floor plan for dimensions of Arts Space. Thespacehas CCTVcamerasandtheroomhasabacktobasesecurityalarmsystem.

Guidelines for Proposed Exhibition

  1. Exhibitionsandcultural events in the facility are for threeweeks duration,withtimeallowedforbumpinandout, creating a block of four weeks, for a cost of $200, which includes A3 signage at the facility printed by DE (artwork provided by user). A pro rata fee for shorter bookings may be negotiated. Acommission of 20%willapplytoallsalesofwork.
  1. Theartist/swillcurateand hang/setuptheirexhibition (withassistancefrom Discover Eumundi volunteersifrequired). (Printed artist’sstatementsand labelsmustbeprovidedbytheartist).
  1. Exhibitionpromotional material and press releases with photographs must be providedbytheartist6 weeks prior to opening, and approved by the manager of Discover Eumundi.
  1. All artists are to be involved in publicity of their event/s and it is expected that artists will be available to engage with the public i.e. meet the artist, opening event, workshop. Discover Eumundi will promote the exhibition through its data base, social media, website, etc and artists are expected to do the same
  1. Usersmusthavean opening event for theirexhibitionandareresponsibleforcatering this and any other events. A cash bar will be supplied and staffed by Discover Eumundi volunteers, with all proceeds going to Discover Eumundi.

ProposalAssessment andCriteria Guidelines:

  • Residents of Sunshine Coast/Noosa region will be given preference
  • New work not exhibited within the Sunshine Coast/Noosa region will be given preference.
  • Contemporary art theme relevant to current social and environmental issues
  • Abilityforexhibitiontobemountedinthespaceavailable(all2Dartworkmustbereadytohang)
  • Willingness to engage with community e.g. providing artists’ talks or workshops
  • Leaflets and invitations are to be printed at artist’s cost
