■ To gather and disseminate information that is of service to members
■ To organize conferences, seminars, workshops, lectures and talks to discuss and expand knowledge of the practice
■ To provide a forum for sharing of views and ideas related to the profession and industry
■ To cooperate with other professions, industries and public bodies

Membership Category, Eligibility and Fee
There are five categories of membership, namely,
■ Honorary Fellow
■ Fellow
■ Member
■ Associate Member
■ Student Member
Fellow and members are practitioners in the logistics profession while associate members are people who work in professions
and industries which are linked to logistics and offer skills, services, products or advice that benefit the logistics profession
and industry.
1. Honorary Fellow
The criteria for eligibility are:
■ By invitation only
■ Typically awarded to people with a high standing in the logistics community who has demonstrated a high standard of practice
and assumed high positions in organisations in leading, making policies and strategies, advising and guiding the development
of the logistics industry and profession
■ No Fee
■ Honorary Fellows have no voting right and cannot hold office
2. Fellow
The criteria for eligibility are:
■ The applicant has held senior management positions leading, managing, developing and implementing a large range of services
in the field of logistics for more than 10 years and completed a recognized academic or training program in the field of logisticsOr
■ Has led and managed his or her own business for more than 10 years providing a wide range of services in the field of logistics
and completed a recognized academic or training program in the field of logistics
■ Fee = RM300 / Year.
■ Fellows have voting rights and can hold office
3. Member
The criteria for eligibility are:
■ The applicant has worked in the field of logistics for more than five years and responsible for implementing a number of services
in the field of logistics and completed a recognised academic or training programme in the field of logisticsOr
■ Has led and managed his or her own business for more than 5 years providing a wide range of services in the field of logistics
and completed a recognized academic or training program in the field of logistics
■ Fee = RM150 / Year
■ Members have voting rights and can hold office
4. Associate Member
The criteria for eligibility are:
■ People working in related industries and people providing advisory, legal and consultancy services to the logistics industry and
have completed some recognized course/qualification, for example the FMFF Foundation Course
■ Fee = RM100 / Year
■ Associate Members have no voting right and cannot hold office
5. Student Member
The criteria for eligibility are:
■ Students who are currently study in a recognized academic or training program in the field of logistics and
carrying a student ID
■ Fee = RM30 / Year
■ Student Members have no voting right and cannot hold office
The admission process will require screening and if necessary an interview with members of the
Admission committee.
