1. Experience of managing a large team of staff working in different disciplines and spread across multiple sites (including remote working).
2. Evidence of delivering landscape scale conservation and awareness of the challenges associated with this.
3. Departmental budget planning cycles, including the management of new and existing grant, together with the development of business cases for support.
4. Accountability for the design and delivery of strategic ecological objectives to achieve maximum impact.
5. Working with key partners and developing new partnerships and networks, both internally and externally.
6. Managing organisational change – setting clear expectations and following through with integrity and strong management.
7. Degree or post graduate qualification in a related discipline, or evidence of equivalent work based experience.
8. Developed awareness of Health & Safety and risk management within landscape conservation work.
9. Managing varied and numerous projects simultaneously, evaluating key criteria as a critical measure of success.
10. Excellent communication and leadership qualities – showing knowledge and credibility in the field of conservation.
