Sabb contracts and Future - Andy
· The university has spoken to individual sabbs in regards to their contracts
· Problem arises: extra cost but this year, will be taken care of the university. Next year, student union will have to be responsible for this extra cost
· Sabb structure will be done on +- 18/9 within the financial model
· Aleem will be presenting this with the university alongside Andy
Council Protocol - Andy
· Execs need to stick together in council/gm
· Hamza reminded everyone to go as one
· Siji expressed his view to ask the sabbs questions in Exec meeting not in gm/council
Future Strategy - Andy
· Aleem and Andy attended a meeting with the university about SU's 10 year plan (UBU Strategy)
· Andy explained about UBU successes throughout years
· All execs to come out with a strategy for the 2026 plan
SU space update - Andy Fitzpatrick
· After christmas there will be a change in space around the SU
· Estate will have a meeting with Andy tomorrow 7th December
A99 Bus Issues
· Awais expressed that there has been a lot of complains from SoM based students in regards to the bus
· Filip explained that he had a meeting with aleem about this concern a couple times
· The motion on the website is going into UBU Council
TEF Submission:
· Sabbs decided not be endorsing TEF Submission.
· Aleem will be working on the working group as Academic Affairs Officer but as Exec , UBU not endorsing the Submission.
Student Emails- Topher
· Phil has been grouping Topher's requests with other e-mails. Not sending out personalised LGBT+ Emails.
· It will be better for LGBT+ students if personal e-mails are.
· Hamza's recommendation of all non-sabbs to liaise with different sabbs to send out e-mails to specific target audiences to improve attendance at different events. Topher agreed!
