Race 4 (fixed mark/club course) / Race 7 (W/L) (possibly morning-midday)
Race 8 (Separate start, but same frostbite)
Evening/post-racing / Dinner, presentations, entertainment, speeches / BBQ, drinks and presentations
§ Is there a special event application to fill out with the Club? (already lodged, and assumed approved by SRRC)
§ Will the CYC powerboat timetrialing get in the way of the regatta on Saturday? If possible can we separate the river areas used by both fleets?
- What are the costs or range of costs associated with running a 2 day regatta on 21, 22 September 2013?
- Drinks and food for RC
- Fuel for rescue boat/s
- Dinner on Saturday night, informal BBQ on Sunday and all associated drinks, bar staff, kitchen staff etc.
- Do we have a suitable and competent Sailing Committee able to run an 8 race regatta?
- Based on experience from the WA Laser titles, is our current RC up to the task and confident about being able to follow particular protocols (ie. recalls, restarts, mark setting, shortening courses)
- Do we have people able to chair/direct a protest?
- JC suggested that SoPYC could supply a person to help direct the RC or act as PRO
- Are there particular club protocols we must follow?
- Do NOR/SIs need to comply with standard CYC NOR/SIs?
- Do we require the patron to attend presentations/dinner?
- What role should CYC flag officers assume during the regatta?
- Facilities
- Berthing, predicting around 12 boats
§ Where can we store boats in the water?
§ What are our available jetty spaces, where can we make spaces?
§ JC has suggested that SoPYC has some movable floating pontoons that could be towed to CYC, attached to a jetty and used as a temporary berthing facility
§ Can we have the spaces ready by Friday afternoon so people have enough time to put boats in the water/sail over
- Hardstand
§ Is there enough room to store trailers if boats come here on trailers?
- Catering
§ Can we guarantee bar, kitchen staff on both days?
§ Supply rolls for brekky, lunches, dinner and BBQ equipment/food ($-Cost)
§ What entertainment has CYC previously used? ($-Cost)
- Craft
§ Appart from Lloyd Anderson, what other boats have we got?
§ We predict we’ll need three boats: a Committee boat, Mark setting boat, rescue boat
§ Have we got appropriate marks/ground tackle
- Sponsorship & Prizes
- Who/if anyone has CYC used to sponsor events?
- In terms of sponsors and sponsors’ displays are there any club protocols to follow?
- Possible sponsors include UK sailmakers, Quantum sails, Bias Boating, Whitworths
- Would the club be willing to donate some CYC gear for prizes ($-Cost)

§ Candlelit dinner for two etc.
- Similar to the “Australia Day” race pennants, can we use our current pennant supplier to make custom Red Witch State Champ pennants?($-Cost)

Complete the Application to hold a Special Event at South of Perth Yacht Club for the, State Titles to be held on the 1st & 2nd. March, 2014, at South of Perth Yacht Club.
Book catering and facilities for the event.
Next meeting is scheduled to be held on Monday , 29-4-13, at Nedlands Yacht Club, if possible.
