Anthem YouTube Movie Trailer Review

Your assignment is to watch each of the following movie trailers and write a review based upon your finds.

I HAVE CHANGED SOME OF THESE ON THE WEB PAGE AND HERE.

1.  Anthem Movie Trailer: (teamxdown)

2.  Anthem Movie Trailer (Silverdreams13)

3.  Anthem Trailer (loiosh19)

4.  Ayn Rand’s Fake Movie Trailer: (hyperwires)

5.  Ayn Rand Movie Trailer: (GrampaXG72Y)

6.  Anthem by Ayn Rand: (Jdog2360)

The review is to be an assessment of three (3) of these trailers based upon your own evaluation.

First, access and assess the trailers independently. As you view each video take notes about what seems to work in each and what doesn’t. Keep in mind that each has its own strengths and weakness. It is possible that you may like something in each, but one should strike you as being better than the rest.

As you view consider:

·  Transitions: Segments flow naturally from one scene to the next.

·  Timing: Music, voice and video are seamless. Timing isn’t too fast or too slow. There is a natural progression of these elements.

·  Voice quality: Voice is crisp and clear, not too high or low pitched. Words are easy to hear and understand. Also, there is no interfering background noise.

·  Music choice: Volume of music blends with the voiceover; one doesn’t overpower the other. Music enhances the mood of the trailer not detracts from it.

·  Headings and Titles: Appropriate word choices and necessary explanations complement the visuals.

·  Creative element effects: Special effects add to the overall presentation of the movie.

·  Acting: Acting is realistic and characters are appropriately cast for their roles.

·  Content: The video conveys that the director has an excellent understanding of the story, characters, setting and themes of Anthem.

Next, with the aid of your notes, decide which of the vieos does the best job in its presentation. The criteria for evaluation are whatever you determine. The bulleted list is a suggestion. You do not have to hit upon every point and you may add your own criteria.

The essay is to be typed and double spaced. There is a maximum of 2 pages. It is due Monday, October 19, 2009.
