1. OVERVIEW OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

1. SUMMARY

Brief summary of the activities and output during the year (comparing with the approved work plan) and delivery of means.

2. EFFECTIVENESS AND IMPACT

- Description of the projects purpose, results and how the project’s objectives have been achieved.

- Assessment of how the project’s results meet the project’s purpose. This should include an assessment of the impact of the project and its different activities during the year. Should be reported in relation to the long-term development goals of the project, and the priorities of Finnish development policy. Also describe possible negative impact of the project.

- In the assessment, please use the indicators that have been defined in the Project’s Log Frame.

- Changes in the project if any (explain deviation from the plan), and their justification, including assessment of problems and risks, and their effects on the project.

- An assessment of the need for adjustments to work plan or activities.

- Please attach proposals for changes for the planned activities and their justification (Request for a change form and new work plan or budget if needed)

3. EFFICIENCY AND RESOURCES

- Efficiency concerns the relation between the results and means i.e. whether the quantity and quality of results achieved justify the quantity and quality of means used. Efficiency is monitored using cost-based indicators.

- Efficiency assessment may also cover time use and use of human resource in the project implementation.

4. RELEVANCE

- Correspondence of the project with the present priority needs of the beneficiaries. Have there been any significant changes in the project relevance during implementation?

- Also add a description on how the project has addressed and contributed to the priorities of the Finnish development policy and the cross-cutting objectives.

- Other projects within the sector/country are addressed and possible synergies and cooperation measures described.

5. SUSTAINABILITY

Analyse factors ensuring sustainability of project work and results. This should include an assessment of changes in the sector policies and in the institutional framework.

6. LESSONS LEARNED

What was learned within the project and lessons learned for similar projects (particularly for Final Completion Report). Also describe challenges and how they were overcome.

7. PROJECT MANAGEMENT

This section shows the overall management of the project in terms of organization, modes of communication, representation of partner institutions, finance management and logistics.

- Has the project received other funding and if yes, for which activities

- Who approved the expenses of the project in Finland

- Description of any requests for tender made in the project according to the procurement law and of acquisition of fixed assets
