Architects and Engineers Specifications

Analog Clocks

BCAM Series- The secondary clock shall be BogenBCAM Series clock with automatic protocol detection. The clock will have plug and play features with no settings required. The clock shall have self–diagnostic capabilities for protocol detection, last received communication time and a comprehensive analysis of the entire clock. The clock will be capable of having remote diagnostic capabilities from the master clock location. The clock shall have automatic polarity detection, as well as a maximum correction time of five (5) minutes. The clock shall be designed to be used in either a 2-wire or 3-wire system with Bogen’s BCMA 2000 or 3000 Series Master Clock. When using Sapling’s 2-wire Digital Communication, the clock will immediately self–correct upon receipt of the digital signal. The secondary clock shall also have the ability to accept sync–wire communication protocols with hourly and daily correction. The secondary clock is to have a microprocessor based movement. The clock shall have a low–profile, semi–flush smooth surface metal case. The crystal will be shatterproof polycarbonate material. Glass and visible molding marks are unacceptable. The clocks will be able to be mounted to a standard single gang box. The clock is to have black hour and minute hands, as well as a red second hand. The clock shall have UL, cUL and FCC compliance.

BCAL-2 Series - The secondary clock shall be BogenBCAL Series wireless clock. The clock will be capable of receiving a signal from multiple clocks. The clock shall receive and transmit with 915–928 MHz frequency–hopping technology. The clock is to be capable of transmitting the time simultaneously without interfering with each other. The clocks shall include automatic calibration, as well as a diagnostic function that allows the user to view the quality of the signal, the last time the clock received a correction signal, a gearbox test and a comprehensive analysis of the entire clock. The clock shall have a maximum correction time of five (5) minutes. The clock shall be capable of receiving a signal every 2 or 4 hours (battery model) or every minute (24V, 110V or 220V) option. It shall be designed to be used with the BogenBCMA Series Master Clock (with transmitter option) or the Bogen Repeater, which can be regulated via Bogen wireless communication protocol. Upon receipt of the wireless signal, the clock will immediately self–correct. The clock shall have a semi–flush smooth surface ABS case. The dial is to be made of durable polystyrene material. The crystal is to be shatterproof, side molded polycarbonate. Glass and visible molding marks are unacceptable. The clock shall have black hour and minute hands as well as a red second hand. The clock shall be FCC compliant, part 15 Section 15,247.

BCRM Series-The secondary clock shall be BogenBCRM Series clock with RS485 protocol implementation. The clock shall have automatic frequency detection for time base. The clock will have self–diagnostic capabilities, relaying to the user information such as when the clock last received communication signals, and a comprehensive analysis of the clock. The BCRM will have the ability for remote diagnosis from the master clock location. It shall have a maximum correction time of five (5) minutes. It will be designed to be used in a RS485 system with Bogen’s BCBD 2000 Series Master Clock or Bogen’s BCMA 2000 or 3000 Series Master Clock systems, which can regulate it by Bogen RS485 communication protocol. Upon receipt of the RS485 signal, the clock shall immediately self–correct. The secondary clock is to have a microprocessor based movement. The clock shall have a low–profile, semi–flush smooth surface metal case. The crystal is to be made of shatterproof, side molded, polycarbonate material. Glass and visible molding marks are unacceptable. The clock shall have black hour and minute hands as well as a red second hand. The clock shall have UL, cUL and FCC compliance.

BCAI Series - The quartz analog clock shall be a Bogen BCAI Series analog clock and will be used as a stand–alone analog clock. The clock will have a low–profile, semi–flush smooth surface metal case. The crystal will be a shatterproof, side molded polycarbonate material. Glass and visible molding marks are unacceptable. The clock shall have a white dial with black numerals. Dials are to be made of durable polystyrene materials. The clock is to have black hour and minute hands, as well as a red second hand. The movement is to be a quartz movement with an accuracy of ± 0.8 sec./day @ 1.5 volts. The clock shall have a battery life of approximately one (1) year. The quartz movement is to operate at a frequency of 32.768 KHz. The Bogen BCAI Series analog clock shall operate on a single “AA” battery.
