NEW AND CONTINUING BUSINESS

There will be an Installation Dinner for the Officers and Trustees that were elected to new terms at the September meeting. It will be at the Vigilant Fire Company Hall in West Seneca with Pam catering. We will provide the appetizers and alcohol. The dinner is expected to take place in late January or early February at a cost of about $20.00 per person. Our National Business Agents will be invited.

Interviews for Postmasters in Lancaster and Lockport took place on November 13th.

We received a raise in November. This generated an automatic dues increase based on that raise.

The National Presidents Conference will be held in Washington in February and there will be Secretary-Treasurer training in March.

The All-Craft Conference will be held in Las Vegas in October. Delegates will be selected in March.

The PostPlan settlement finally happened. Level 4 offices will be staffed by 4 hour PSEs and Level 6 Offices will be staffed by NTFTs. In the Level 6 offices, the senior PTF will be forced into the NTFT job. Retreat rights will be respected first; then there will be Level 6 postings.

Postmasters in RMPOs at Levels 4 and 6 will be allowed to stay until they retire if they choose to or they will have the option of becoming bargaining unit employees. After the Level 6 jobs are filled within their installations, the PSEs in the bid cluster can bid.

The local negotiations for PostPlan offices are planned for December. Lori has asked the District to move them to January. We are waiting for a response.

Local negotiations, National resolutions, and Rank and File meetings are to begin in December.

At the September meeting, the existing Officers were re-elected with three remaining Trustee vacancies.

There was a vote to approve or disapprove the merger of Portville, NY and Friendship, NY with the Western New York Area Local #183. The votes were unanimous to approve the merger of both Offices with our Local. We welcome the Members of Portville and Friendship and thank them for joining with us.
