The American Council of the Blind Of Texas is planning the 2018 annual state Conference/Convention. The Conference/Convention is scheduled to be held in Houston to jointly celebrate the Houston Council of the Blind and ACBT’s 40th Anniversary! It is scheduled September 20-23 2018 at the Houston Marriott Westchase, 2900 Briarpark Drive, Houston, Texas 77042. This year’s theme is "Celebrating the past, preparing for the future.” The room rate is $99.00 plus 17% tax, per night when you mention that you are with the ACBT Conference/Convention. We are inviting you to participate as an exhibitor at our conference. This is an opportunity to display your programs, services, technology and equipment to people who are blind or visually impaired. Attendees will come from all over Texas as well as surrounding states and are very eager to have firsthand knowledge of the latest equipment and technology designed to improve their quality of life and increase their independence.
The exhibit area is scheduledopen on Friday, September 21stfrom 9:00 AM to 5 PM and Saturday, September 22nd from 9:00 AM. until 11:45 and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The cost for an display exhibit table is $80/table; however, earlybird registration is discounted to $70 if your registration is postmarked no later than July 16th.
There will be many other activities during the Conference/Convention that you may find of interest including the Saturday luncheon, banquet and our Sunday morning Awards breakfast. The Conference/Convention Registration fee is $55.00 and includes all three activities listed above.
