What’s New

  • The patch provides fixes and minor enhancements on top of HP Performance Center 12.20.
    Refer to the ‘Enhancements’ and ‘Fixed Defects’ sections for more details
  • The patch contains updates for the TruClient protocol.
  • The patch adds support working with HP's TruClient - Native Mobile protocol and HP Mobile Center 1.1.

Important Notes

  • Do not install this patch with any Performance Center 12.20 updated with a language package.
  • The compatible patch for the standalone applications is LoadRunner 12.02 Patch 2 or later.
  • The HP ALM12.20 Server, which integrating with the Performance Center 12.20 server updated with this patch, must be upgraded to HP ALM 12.21 (SP1 for HP ALM 12.20) or any supersedingpatch.
    Warning:
    Installing service pack 1 for ALM 12.20 changes some of the user configuration. These changes may impact the functionality of HP Performance Center.
    Make sure to review KM01803517 before applying the patch on the ALM machine.

"The Controller reached the designated timeout waiting for the terminal sessions to open. If some of the terminal sessions failed to open consider extending the timeout interval in the INI file by adding the key 'NumberOfRetriesCheckingLogon' under the 'TerminalSessions' section. If that does not help please check the Terminal Server license policy".

In the Topology designer, when selecting to deploy a monitor template for AUT Host of type Linux or HP UX, the following message is displayed:"No template is provided for this node type".

Installation Instructions

  1. Verify that you have full local administrative permissions to install the patch on the machine.
  2. Before starting the installation, close all of the TruClient instances (Internet Explorer and Firefox).
  3. Install Performance Center 12.20 Patch 1 by launching the appropriate installation file:
  4. PCServer1220P1.msp - Patch 1 for Performance Center Server 12.20
  5. PCHost1220P1.msp - Patch 1 for Performance Center Host 12.20

Note:You can install the patch in silent, from command line, by executing the following:
msiexec.exe /update <full path to the msp file> /qn [/l*vx <full path to the log file>]

  1. Make sure the Performance Center standalone applications are updated with the appropriate patch.
  2. Make sure the HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) server is updated.

Note:

To ensure a successful installation of this patch, you must upgrade all components to the compatible patch level. Installing the patch on some components only, will result in an unsuccessful installation.
