On October 3, 2017,Peoples Natural Gas Company LLC (Peoples) filed anApplication for Approval of Abandonment of Service (Application) by Peoples to
three (3) customers located in Greene County, Pennsylvania. The Application was incomplete. In order for us to complete our analysis of your application, the Energy Industry Group requires answers to the attached questions.
Please forward the information to the Secretary of the Commission at the address listed below within ten (10) working days from the date of this letter. Please note that some responses may be e-filed to your case, A list of document types allowed to be e-filed can be found at

1)Reference Application, No. 5 stating thatthree customers in Greene County, Pa, are receiving service from Peoples via “an unregulated gathering line owned by PNG Gathering LLC through a gas supply pipeline interconnection with Equitrans, LP”. The supply connection was put into place to continue providing service to the customers after a long wall mining company required the discontinuation of the previously utilized Goodwin system pipeline. Please provide the following:
a)Documentation issued by the long wall mining company in support of the Peoples application;
b)The duration of the mining operation and documents supporting this;
c)The effects the mining operation will have on the Goodwin System pipeline;
d)Explanation ofany compensation PNG Gathering LLC received from the long wall mining company.
2)Please indicate the type of material, as well as the age and conditionof the Goodwin system pipeline.
3)Please provide copies of required inspection reports, service calls, repairs and/or replacements made to this pipeline.
4)Please provide details and dates of any correspondence Peoples had with the customers regarding consent to the cancellation of natural gas service to the customers’ premises.
