Kildare County Council consider closing off one end of the green triangle opposite Beatty Park, a report on this matter as to the procedures necessary to do this is provided.

“We consider the DTO 18 month short-term action plan and what measures may be contained are appropriate to the Celbridge Electoral Area.”

“That Kildare County Council, resurface Greenfield Lane from the junction at phase one to the bollards and at the same time, ensure that the surface water piping is repaired to alleviate the flooding that occurs on a regular basis.”

“That Kildare County Council immediately arrange to have the footpaths laid at the Dunboyne Road, up to Pebble Hill/Lyreen Park, and that the public lighting be erected as a priority consideration for the senior citizens who have to use the pathway on a daily basis.”

“That the roads in Carton Court and Cluain Aoibhinn estates, Maynooth be carpeted with bitumen macadam and that money for this purpose be allocated from the Housing Estates Road Budget.”

“That three speed cushions be put in place in Back Lane/Pound Lane, Maynooth, in order to improve traffic safety, and that money be allocated from the 1999 Discretionary Grants for this purpose. Furthermore, following completion of the speed cushions, the “No Entry” signs should be removed from both ends and be replaced with a “One Way” traffic system from the Dunboyne Road to Mill Street on Back Lane/Pound Lane.”

“We seek a report on proposals under the Urban & Village Renewal Scheme in relation to Celbridge. What design work is done/in hand, what interaction, if any, has taken place between the Council and bodies like the ESB. Telecom, Cable Management, how it is anticipated to involve the Celbridge Community and the amount of finance required to carry out the works.”

“We seek a report in relation to specific development levies attached to new industry in the area in relation to road, footpath and light improvements. If the money has been paid and what plans exist to spend existing money.”

“We consider how the Council can assist in identifying existing Creche facilities in the Celbridge Electoral Area and the demand for such facilities and we consider what appropriate action is necessary to fulfil current and future needs in this area.”

“That a vehicular exit/entrance to the Railway Station, Maynooth be part of the new Bond Bridge design and that a roadway and parking bays be constructed between the station and Bond Bridge in collaboration with Iarnrod Eireann and the D.T.O.”

“That Kildare County Council now proceed to complete the footpath at Moyglare Road, Maynooth on the right hand side from S.V.D., hostel to the telephone exchange. Adequate finance should be available from the paid development levies in the area of Moyglare Road.”
