Ø Write a geographic description of the location of Trinidad and Tobago and of the Caribbean region.
Ø Draw a map of Trinidad and Tobago. Insert the latitude and longitude lines
Ø Use the atlas to accurately insert and name the major towns, capital city, wetlands, forests, highland areas, rivers and roads, counties. / Key terms and definitions in Chapter 1.

Students construct a 3-dimensional map of Trinidad and Tobago (20% of final grade)
Physical Features Of Trinidad and Tobago / Ø Draw and describe the major relief features found in Trinidad and Tobago: including- Mountains, Mountain Ranges, Hills, Peninsula, Point, Bay, and Gulf.
Ø Identify and trace major waterways from source to estuary and insert on a map of T&T.
Ø Briefly outline how or why a river begins at that point (it’s source)
Ø Identify and locate major tracts of forest (Northern Range), ESAs (Matura National Park, Nariva Swamp, Aripo Savannas, Buccoo Reef), Wetland areas (Swamps, Coral Reefs)
Ø Describe at leat 3 characteristics of the forests chosen
Ø Discuss the importance of 2 ESAs to Trinidad and Tobago / * Possible fieldtrips- Hike to Mt. St. Benedict.
