HORSE & PONY SHOW RULES
1. The judge's decision is final.
2. PONIES (U.K.), & B.S.P.S qualifying classes will be judged under their rules. All ponies to be registered with their respective Breed Societies. Entries for M&M will not be accepted unless registration numbers are shown on the entry form.
3. Classes will be divided at the discretion of the judge.
4. INSURANCE: Gorefield Show Committee cannot accept liability howsoever caused by an individual, animal or vehicle. Gorefield Show Committee strongly advises all participants/riders have up to date third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in all events, equestrian or otherwise, and for all vehicles.
5. Any objection must be made within 15 minutes of the end of the class, in writing and accompanied by £20, returnable if the objection is upheld. Objections will not be entertained otherwise.
6. Competitors must wear correct riding clothes, hard hats to the approved B.S.I. Standard.
7. No rider may carry, use or permit to be used, a whip exceeding 30" in length.
8. Age as at 1st Jan 2017.
9. Classes will not be held up on the day.
10. In all P.U.K. & B.S.P.S. Classes 1st prize money only will be awarded if less than 3 entries per class. 1st & 2nd prize money only will be awarded if less than 6 entries per class.
11. The Committee would appreciate entries before the close of previous class.
12. Horses & ponies are not allowed to be ridden other than at WALK except
in the rings & working in area.
13. No lunging due to limited space & health and safety regulations.
14. No refunds will be given.
16. A Deposit of £10 per competitor to be paid before collection of trophies.
17. Dogs MUST be kept on leads at all times.
18. The committee reserves the right to make changes to scheduled classes
without prior notice.
19. Short, dark, waterproof jackets only can be worn in the ring in wet conditions.
20. No trotting or cantering down the main thoroughfare as this is a danger to the public.
21. No classes will be held up on the day for clashing classes. Where classes clash competitors must decide which class to enter, asking permission from the judge.
