Personal Profile/Professional Attributes

I am a dedicated and professional individual, motivated and committed in everything I do. With only 4 employers in 25 years, I feel I demonstrate a commitment and loyalty that is scares in today’s society. Upon leaving school at 16 in 1986 then leads to 14 years Royal Naval service attaining the level of Petty Officer Aircraft Control serving in both Gulf Wars. In 1999 I began my first Civilian post where I began a career within the sales industry as a car sales executive, where it had only taken 9 months before I was headhunted to be accepted into media sales at the Yorkshire Post. From there it was only 5 years until I became Sales and Commercial Manager for 2 magazines with an annual P&L responsibility of £550,000, managing 4 staff and writing articles for the magazines. I am currently employed as a Key Leader in Export & UK Sales of Bespoke Land Rover Accessories, this is a demanding and pressurised environment at which I have again excelled and thrived in, opening a new account for the company that has raised over £180,000 as well as managing and instigating a number of smaller income contracts of around £10,000 per month. As is evident from my history I have a desire and outstanding ability to achieve and exceed in a target driven and demanding environment. I have a strong proven track record of analytical skills, along with a fresh and focussed professional approach I possess strong managerial skills, where I feel my strengths are in actively listening, empowering others, been clear and concise in my approach and leading by example in a boundaries manner. Many of the skills I have built upon are transferable to other areas and I feel will be of great value to many positions. After been diagnosed with MS, I like many others faced with a life changing hurdle, have reassessed my future prospects and choices, and feel that the strengths I have as an individual coupled with my skills as an employee could be better channelled into sharing my skills and experience to help and support others – hence I am looking toward a change in career direction.

Given the opportunity I will prove to be a valued asset to your organisation and those that you engage with. I will work to promote and strengthen your ethos and to represent your values within your strategic framework.
