Introduction

The Primary aim of the CfT courses is to improve the quality of teaching, coaching and learning in school sport. England Hockey also aims to improve the quality of hockey within the school environment through the delivery of the courses. Therefore, any tutors of CfT courses MUST have

  • an education background, and be either practising teachers or possess experience and expertise in the field of education
  • approved hockey tutor status from England Hockey.

The courses have been commended by SCuK for their “educational content” and it is envisaged, that teachers will use the courses to assist their delivery in schools.

The courses are for qualified teachers, PGCE or QTS students and Community Coaches working within schools. Other individuals may qualify to attend a course and need to make enquiries to their Regional Office.
