The following document covers the Committee, Sub-committees, and Volunteer positions available at St. Thecla. These activities are subject to change due to the status of the volunteers and chairperson required to run the events. Stay tuned to the St. Thecla Hawk and The Lantern for volunteer opportunities. Any position within the St. Thecla school system that receives payment is NOT allowed to be used for Volunteer Participation hours.

School Committee

Events are: New Parishioners/School Families, 1st Communion, Confirmation, and Graduation Receptions.

School/Volunteers

The Hawk Editor:

All year activity, comes out every Thursday, requires approximately 4 hours/week**

Library Volunteers*

Field Trip Supervisors*

School directory:

Approximately 48 hours - Sort, review, update, and publish data.**

Forensics:

Time keepers, runners, judges, and luncheon.*

School Play:

Costumes, props, stage assistance, make-up.*

H&S Hot Lunches:

All year activity – Chairperson.**

Thursday money counters - approximately 1 hour per Thursday. *

Friday Hot Lunch Servers – approximately 1½ hours per Friday. *

Scrip Program:

Selling after masses, pick-up cards from vendors, filling and sorting weekly orders. *

St. Thecla Lunchroom:

All year activity – Lunch monitors and clean-up volunteers.

Entertainment Books:

1 month for school and 3 months for Parish – Chairperson & Co-chairperson**

Boy and Girl Scouting Program:

Leaders** and Co-leaders**, field trip supervisors, pop-bottle drive workers, Pancake Breakfast worker, popcorn/cookie sales after mass (does not include personal sales and purchases). *

Campbell Soup Labels:

All year activity- Chairperson**

Mom2Mom Sale:

3 months to plan, 1 night set-up, 4 hour event, and clean-up-Chairperson & Co-chairperson**

Volunteers – set-up of activity, working event, clean-up from the activity (does not include working/purchasing your own table). *

Ice Cream Social/Trunk or Treat:

1 month to plan, 1 night set-up, 4 hour event, and clean-up - Chairperson & Co-chairperson**

Volunteers – setup activity, working event, and clean-up. *

Secret Santa:

Length of event 4 days and 4 hours – Chairperson and Co-chairperson.**

Volunteers – set-up of activity, working the event, and clean-up. *

Candy Cane Carnival:

1 month to plan, 1 night to set-up, 4 hour event, and clean-up – Chairperson and Co-chairperson.**

Volunteers – Set-up of activity, working the event, and clean-up. *

January Jackpot Raffle:

3 month event – Chairperson**

Dinner Dance:

8 months to plan and 7 hour Event – Chairperson**

Subcommittees – Donations, Advertising, and Planning**

Classroom Representatives for baskets

Daddy/Daughter Dance:

2 months to plan, set-up, 2½ hour event, and clean-up – Chairperson and Co-chairperson**

Mother/Son Bowling:

1 month to plan and 4 hour event – Chairperson and Co-chairperson**

Volunteers – working the event. *

Field Day:

2 weeks to plan and all day event – Chairperson**

*Hours should be calculated by actual time spent at the event
