ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Selvam college of Technology, established in the year of 2006, is nurtured by V.Ponnusamy educational and charitable Trust which is founded by Dr.P.Selvaraj, Chairman of the trust. The institution is an ISO 9001:2008 certified Institutions. Equipped with latest facilities and excellent infrastructures, the college offers under graduate programmes (B.E - EEE, ECE, CSE, Mech & B.Tech.IT) and post graduate programmes (M.E – CSE, MBA & MCA) in the discipline of engineering and technology. The college is working with a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members towards producing self confident employable engineers.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2006 it offers Undergraduate program Recognized by Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore. The department has been constantly producing eminent engineers with high innovative skills. The department has modernized equipments in electrical machines, control system, power electronics, electricdrives, digital signal processing and power system simulations labs. The department has competent and committed faculty team to enhance the capability of students.
SCOPE OF THE WORKSHOP
The main scope of the workshop is to enhance the knowledge of the participants in the emerging area of power quality improvement power system maintenance and several key issues related to its modeling assessment and improvement. The work shop will provide platform to an in-depth discussion on the various challenges and the possible remedies in the field of power quality and power system maintenance.
